The Vet Aide Club at UC Davis learned about handling beef cattle and sheep during Food Animal Medicine month. Members were split into two groups to apply basic large animal handling principles and learn about domestic animal behavior. Dr. Nancy Martin, DVM, MS and Morgan Doran were patient with the students and provided critical feedback. The students learned about flight zones, vaccination protocols, and herding animals in a farm setting. Each student came out with a better understanding of food animal medicine.
